Nice to be home and this afternoon looking after the youngest of the grandchildren.  Rowan was with us for a few hours this afternoon...energy + fun (+ overnight flights from Rwanda) = knackered (but happy).

Talk about a sore back after gardening.  Not quite sure how this women gets her back to go into this position while she clears a plot of stony, weed strewn land (in her bare feet), by hand ready to plant some potatoes.  Look out the Ralgex!!

Today we visited a women and childrens project in Kagali.  We took along donations of childrens clothes which were gratefully recieved.  Thanks to all our friends who donated...you know who you all are.

Hotel bed Rwanda style and I am just about to pop into mine.  Busy day at college all morning and marking 14 assignments this afternoon...time for an early (earlier) night methinks.

First day off since I got here and up at 4.30 to visit a nature reserve 4 hours away from Musanze.....but it was worth it.  The giraffe stole the show, never seen one with a white head before.

It might be Friday but we are keeping the course working hard looking at evaluating Risk.  It's a hard life!  Week one past and this time next week I will be heading home.

Visited the Genocide Memorial in Kigali today.  A very moving place where thousands of unidentified victims of the Rwandan Genocide are buried.  The course laid a wreath in rememberence.
