Last full day of the holiday and we were in Mahon in Menorca.  The morning saw a downpour but by afternoon it was nice and warm and just right for a walk through the town.  Had to take a photo of the ship from the top of the huge staircase.

Walking through the streets of Ajaccio in Corsica I just could resist taking the photo of this boxer as it lay at it's masters feet.  He was having a very animated conversation to his pal over a cup of cofee and the dog just looked throughly fed up.

Nothing nicer than wandering around the market place in Civittivechia.  The colours, the smells and the noise are amazing.  Why don't we have markets like this in the UK?

From the port of Naples we took a trip back to the island of Capri.  A beautiful Island.  We went for a boat trip round the island and through the "lovers arch"  Local folklore has it that if you kiss as you go through you will remain partners for life....just don't kiss on the way back as it will surely end in divorce!

Arrive at the first port of call, Cagliari in Sardinia.  A quiet little town with some nice walks and LOADS of graffitti.

First day of the cruise and we spend the day at sea.  Nice when we got back to the cabin to be greeted by the towel swan...our cabin steward obviously has far too much time on his hands

Had a visitor of a different kind at the caravan today.  This butterfly came in, had a good look around and left to go about it's business.  Very pretty.

Out and about in the Marnoch area today visiting the Clark ancestral family homes.  Visited Marnoch Old Church and cemetery.  The church has, in it's grounds, St Marnan's Chair an ancient standing stone.

After a night of really heavy rain comes a day of deep puddles.

At 15 minutes into the game, I would have happily heard the referees final whistle.  0-1 became 1-1 became 1-2 became 2-2 and a 3-2 defeat in the end...oh well, next time.

The bronze Statue of Denis Law at the Aberdeen Sports Village.  Law was probably one of the greatest athletes, and certainly the best football player to be born in Aberdeen.  A fitting tribute although it is tucked away in corner that not many people pass.

There is no way that he will manage to to throw THAT rock in the sea.  A day with Matthew at Spey Bay that ended with a performance by the local dolphin population.

Our 39th wedding anniversary and I had an early morning appointment at Huntly Golf Club.  Been about 4 years since I last played and it showed.  Oh well the golf can only get better.

Car fuelled, food and clothes packed, comics bought and Matthew's bike loaded.  We're off to the caravan for a few days quality time with our eldest grandson.

A bowl of Bombay mix is the perfect accompaniment to a pint of guinness on a Monday after looking after the grandsons all day.
